About
Chem-tech pioneer
Fusing chemistry, AI, and robotics to digitize and automate
A new era of chemistry begins here
Chemify was founded in 2022 by Professor Lee Cronin, building on two decades of research at the University of Glasgow. Headquartered in Scotland, Chemify is creating a new digital foundation for chemistry.
At the heart of our technology is Chemputation, a universal chemical programming language combined with advanced robotics and AI. This system translates digital code into real molecules, transforming how medicines and materials are discovered and made.
In 2025, Chemify opened its first Chemifarm in Maryhill, Glasgow – the world’s most advanced automated synthesis facility – and established a US hub in Silicon Valley under the leadership of Mike Bell, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Chemify. With global expansion underway, Chemify is enabling partners everywhere to design and make molecules faster, more reliably, and at scale.

Mission & Vision
Chemify’s long-term vision is to make chemical design and synthesis as programmable and accessible as computing and to be the leading small molecule discovery and synthesis company on the planet – a “Chemputation Engine.”
By digitizing and automating what was once a manual, time consuming process, Chemify is making the access to novel molecules, drugs, and materials instant and on-demand.
Chemify Team
Chemify is led by a world class team of experienced leaders and team members across AI, Software, Hardware, Cheminformatics, Chemistry, Operations, and Commercial.
Chemify has grown to over 150 employees, of which over half have advanced chemistry or engineering degrees.
Chemify is supported by leading investors such as Wing Capital, Insight Partners, Triatomic Capital, 8VC, BlueYard Capital amongst others.
